Marian Rivera and Kathryn Bernardo were among the top choices of iMe Philippines’ new talents AJ Colico and Dylan Burton, as they set their sights on expanding into acting and expressed their desire to work with some of the country’s most admired actresses.
The two held their first-ever fan meet on April 14, 2026, in Pasay City. Attended by fans, family, friends, and special guests, the event marked a meaningful milestone in their journey as emerging performers.
In an interview before going on stage, AJ spoke about how acting could be the next step in his career after gaining experience in singing, dancing, and live performances. He shared that he is eager to explore opportunities in television.
He said, “Someday maybe I want to like to acting on television. Nagawa ko na po kasi sumali sa survival show, mag-sing outside, mag-dance po, mag-perform. Acting naman po yun siguro yung next goal ko po in my career.”
AJ and Dylan were part of Dream Maker: The Search for the Next Global Pop Group, a Philippine-South Korean boy group survival reality show that aired on A2Z and Kapamilya Channel.
Similarly, Dylan revealed that acting has long been part of his journey, especially through creating online content where his acting videos gained traction and went viral.
He expressed excitement about bringing those skills to a wider audience. He said, “Same as AJ, before talaga ang content ko sa TikTok is acting and yun yung acting yung nagbigay sa akin ng many views and viral contents and I will be more happy if ma-pursue ko din siya into a bigger screen, like that.”
When asked about the artists they hope to collaborate with, AJ named Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera as one of his biggest inspirations, describing her as a legend in the industry.
He said, “Ako po si Marian Rivera po. We know naman po na she’s a legend po talaga. So I’m looking forward, I hope someday na maka-work ko po siya.”
Meanwhile, Dylan shared his admiration for Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo, praising her versatility and ability to take on different genres.
He said, “For me naman, syempre gusto kong maka-work si Miss Kathryn Bernardo. Talagang siya yung na-idolize ko sa pag-arte niya. Kahit solo siya or kahit anong genre, talagang kaya niya.”
Beyond local actresses, both performers also expressed interest in collaborating with other artists they look up to. AJ shared that he is a fan of Korean dramas and hopes to work with Korean actor Park Seo-joon in the future.
On the other hand, Dylan mentioned that he admires the talent and versatility of Vhong Navarro, particularly highlighting his skills in both dancing and acting—qualities he considers essential for a total performer.
As they continue to build their careers, AJ and Dylan remain open to new opportunities, with more projects already in the pipeline.
