Cobra Energy Drink ushers in its 20th year with the rollout of “Liwanag sa Dilim,” a campaign that reflects the strength, resilience, and determination of Filipinos—values the brand has stood for over the past two decades.
Leading this milestone is Daniel Padilla, who has been introduced as the brand’s newest ambassador as Cobra expands its message to a new generation.
The campaign is rooted in the everyday experiences of Filipinos. There are times when fatigue sets in, when getting out of bed feels like a struggle, and when simply showing up becomes more difficult than usual. Despite these moments, people continue to push through—heading to work, fulfilling responsibilities, and doing what needs to be done.
According to Cobra, that quiet persistence is where real strength lies, described as the “liwanag na nasa loob mo.”

Titled “Ang Liwanag na ’To Nasa Loob Mo. (Para Sa’min) Pag Meron Ka Nito, Wala Kang Talo,” the campaign serves as a reminder that every Filipino carries an inner light — a source of strength, hope, and determination that pushes them to continue no matter how difficult life gets. Cobra Energy Drink stands as a partner to Filipinos, supporting them in their everyday journey as they continue to move forward and face each day’s challenges.
According to Apple de Belen, Marketing Manager for Cobra, the campaign was inspired by the everyday experiences of Filipinos who continue to show up and do what needs to be done despite life’s challenges.

“The campaign is about a simple but powerful truth — that you are stronger than you think. Ang liwanag na hinahanap mo, nasa loob mo na. ‘Wala Kang Talo’ is a mindset. It’s not always about winning or being number one. Sometimes, winning simply means not giving up. As long as you keep showing up, keep trying, and keep moving forward — wala kang talo,” de Belen shared.
For 20 years, Cobra Energy Drink has been part of the everyday lives of Filipinos — from construction workers and drivers to students, athletes, and everyday hustlers who continue to work hard and push forward for their families and their dreams. The campaign is a tribute to them — and to the strength that lives within them.

Bringing the campaign to life, Cobra introduced its new brand ambassador, Daniel Padilla, who represents the modern Filipino — determined, resilient, and quietly strong in the face of life’s challenges. This is brought to life through a cinematic TV commercial set to the song “Liwanag sa Dilim,” where Padilla is seen falling and rising again as a soft glow emerges from his chest, symbolizing inner strength. After drinking Cobra Energy Drink, the glowing Cobra icon appears on his chest and the light radiates outward. The story then expands to everyday Filipinos — including a rider, a mason, and other workers — each igniting their own “liwanag,” reinforcing that this inner strength is shared across different walks of life.
The campaign was officially unveiled at the Cobra at 20: Tatak ng Walang Talo Media Launch held on April 16, 2026, at Marquis Events Place, BGC, where Cobra introduced its new campaign and new brand ambassador while celebrating 20 years of energizing the Filipino spirit.

Joanna Araullo, Senior Brand Manager for Cobra, shared that Cobra’s commitment has always been to support Filipinos in their everyday lives.
“For 20 years, Cobra has been a partner of Filipinos sa araw-araw nilang trabaho at sa pang-araw-araw na laban sa buhay. Hindi lang ito energy drink — katuwang ito ng Pilipino. As a proudly Filipino brand, we make sure that our products remain abot-kaya and accessible so we can continue to reach and support more Filipinos every day,” Araullo said.
She added that Cobra continues to innovate to support different needs of Filipinos through its variants such as Cobra Original, Cobra Citrus, Cobra Smart, and Cobra Vitamin C.

As Cobra celebrates its 20th year, the brand remains committed to its message:
“Ang liwanag na ’to nasa loob mo. Pasiklabin with Cobra Energy Drink. Para sa’min, pag meron ka nito, wala kang talo.”
Because for Cobra, the real energy is not just in the bottle — it’s in every person who refuses to give up, no matter what.
