Viva One proudly presents Fight for My Way, its first Korean series adaptation, starring the exciting new tandem of chinito heartthrob David Licauco and “Nation’s Mutya” Ashtine Olviga, alongside McCoy de Leon and Aubrey Caraan. Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, the highly anticipated adaptation brings the heart and humor of the hit 2017 Korean series to Filipino audiences with a distinctly Pinoy flavor. Catch its premiere on November 20, exclusively on Viva One.
Fight for My Way follows four young adults fighting for their dreams despite life’s unexpected turns and setbacks. The original series resonated with audiences through its relatable take on friendship, ambition, love, and finding the courage to start over.
For its Pinoy adaptation, David and Ashtine take on the roles originally portrayed by Korean superstars Kim Ji-won and Park Seo-joon, with the characters now known as Aira and Hanz. Best friends for more than two decades, Aira and Hanz have practically grown up together, becoming each other’s biggest supporters through every high and low.

Aira is a spirited and outspoken woman who once dreamed of becoming a TV announcer but life’s circumstances have taken her down a different path, and she now works at the information desk of a department store. Meanwhile, Hanz is a former taekwondo prodigy with dreams of becoming a professional fighter, but financial struggles changed his course, leading him to work in pest control instead.
Despite the challenges of adulthood, the two continue to push each other to take another shot at their dreams. And as they fight for the future they want, Aira and Hanz begin to see each other in a whole new light. Could their longtime friendship finally turn into a love story of their own?
Completing their tight-knit circle are McCoy as Manny and Aubrey as Sally, who join Aira and Hanz as the “Crazy Fantastic Four.” Practical and career-minded, Manny works at a home shopping network and often serves as the voice of reason among his friends. Sally, on the other hand, is the warm, patient, and understanding member of the group. She is also Manny’s longtime girlfriend, and their relationship adds another layer to the group’s dynamic as they navigate their own lives. The series also marks the first onscreen pairing of De Leon and Caraan.

Beyond the Crazy Fantastic Four, the series also features a talented supporting cast, with Rob Gomez as Marvin, a doctor who becomes Aira’s boyfriend but hides a deceptive side, and Icee Ejercito as Julia, Hanz’s manipulative ex-girlfriend and a prominent TV anchor. Rafa Siguion-Reyna plays Coach Leon, Hanz’s eccentric yet devoted coach who serves as a father figure to him, while Albie Casiño portrays Franco, a wealthy MMA fighter who becomes Hanz’s rival. Abby Bautista plays the role of Marie, an intern who pursues Manny and threatens his relationship with Sally, while Maui Taylor is Angie, the four friends’ mysterious landlady who keeps a watchful eye on their lives. Also joining the stellar cast are Taneo, Marlo Mortel, Billy Villeta, Maru Delgado, Lester Llansang, and Nikka Ruiz, among many others.
Fight for My Way introduced its four lead stars during a story conference in September, giving fans a first look at the actors bringing the well-loved story to life. The grand reveal generated significant buzz online, with netizens welcoming the new “Crazy Fantastic Four,” expressing excitement over the fresh pairings, and noting how well the actors seemed to fit their characters. The announcement garnered 14.6 million social media engagements in just 24 hours, along with extensive TV and print coverage from all media outlets, further building anticipation for the Filipino version of the beloved K-drama.
Now, the cast is ready to show what they can bring to these characters, with the leads preparing for the series through workshops, bonding activities, and studying the original material, while developing their own interpretations of their respective roles. Licauco has also started training in mixed martial arts and taekwondo, tapping into his love of action films and childhood admiration for Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

For Olviga, who recently won Best Actress at the 2026 Manila International Film Festival for Manila’s Finest, being part of Fight for My Way is particularly meaningful as a self-confessed fan of the original. She plans to stay true to Aira while bringing her own perspective and personality to the role.
Meanwhile, Licauco, embraces the challenge of playing Hanz, a role that carries added significance given his admiration for Park Seo-joon. Rather than shy away from the pressure, he sees it as motivation to give Hanz his own identity while honoring what audiences already love about the character.
For Crisanto B. Aquino, directing Fight for My Way comes with a mission beyond simply recreating the series. While preserving the heart of the original story, Aquino also wants to showcase Filipino culture through locations across the Philippines, local cuisine, and the everyday life of its people.
With its heartfelt story of friendship, love, and fighting for your goals, Fight for My Way brings a familiar K-drama into a proudly Filipino world, where the biggest battles are not just about reaching your dreams, but finding the courage to keep fighting for them.
The first episode premieres on Viva One this November 20, with a new episode every Friday thereafter.
