Ahead of the expected All Saints’ Day exodus to the provinces, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has begun its inspection of transport terminals in different parts of Metro Manila to ensure that bus operators comply with content regulations.
The on-the-spot inspections are part of the Agency’s mandate to promote age-appropriate and responsible viewing in public spaces like buses, where families and children are likely to be present.
This is to check if transport terminals and public utility vehicle (PUV) operators and drivers are screening only G (General Audience) and PG (Parental Guidance) rated content.

“Hinihikayat namin ang kooperasyon ng mga transport terminals at operations nang masiguro natin na angkop mapanood ng mga batang pasahero ang mga ipapalabas sa mga bus habang sila ay pauwi ng probinsya para sa Undas,” said MTRCB Chair and CEO Lala Sotto.
Personnel of the MTRCB’s Legal Affairs Division – Monitoring and Inspection Unit (LAD-MIU) began visiting transport hubs on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 and will to do so until Thursday, October 29, 2026.
The inspection and information drive will cover transport hubs in Muntinlupa City, Las Piñas City, Pasay City, Parañaque City, Quezon City, Taguig City, Manila, Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, and Bocaue, Bulacan.
Under the MTRCB Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 03-2024 or the “Rules Governing the Public Exhibition of Motion Picture and/or Trailers in Common Carriers and Other Public Places,” PUVs including jeepneys, buses, vans, rail transport, taxis, passenger ships, ferry boats and commercial airplanes can only exhibit films and trailers classified as G or PG by the Board.
The MTRCB staff reminded PUV operators and drivers to make sure that the content they screen during the bus ride are suitable even for younger passengers.
A G or General Audience rating means a film is suitable for all ages, while PG or Parental Guidance means a parent or guardian must be present to supervise younger viewers.
