GMA Network’s Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado recently shared heartfelt insights about family, motherhood, and her future plans, revealing that she and her husband, Dennis Trillo, are still open to the possibility of having another child someday.
During a press conference for her newest brand endorsement on May 6 in Quezon City, Jennylyn Mercado talked about a deeply personal part of her life involving a baby boy embryo currently in Texas, which she may consider carrying in the future.
Jennylyn Mercado said, “Sa mga nakakaalam… ng story ko tungkol sa pagbubuntis, meron pa ako talagang isang boy na buo na na nasa Texas. So kung maisipan ko man siguro, siya na lang. Kasi sabi niya, “Ano ba ‘yan? Napag-iwanan na ako. Nauna pa si Dylan sa akin. Nauna ako sa kanya.””
The actress admitted that while there are still no definite plans, she and her family remain open to the idea if the timing and circumstances feel right.
“So ayun baka i-consider ko na i-carry ko na lang. Hindi natin masasabi. Well, kung talagang ibibigay at makakapagdesisyon kami, na buo ng desisyon namin na sige pwede pa ng isa.”
For now, Jennylyn Mercado emphasized that their main focus is their young daughter, Dylan, whom they want to fully support and spend time with while she is still growing up.
“Pero sa ngayon nae-enjoy pa kasi namin si Dylan. Gusto pa namin siyang tutukan. Mas maganda naka-focus kami sa kanya kasi yung mga kuyas niya mga binata na… Bihira na namin silang nakikita. So, sa ngayon kay Dylan naka-focus. At kung ibibigay ni Lord, bakit hindi?”
Aside from family matters, Mercado also gave fans exciting updates regarding her career. After completing her show earlier this year, she revealed that she is now concentrating on her music projects, including the release of a deluxe album under Star Music.
“Kakatapos lang nung show ko nitong first quarter. Sa ngayon focus ako sa music. So meron akong — hindi pa natatapos na [album] pero malapit na siyang ilabas — yung deluxe na album ko under Star Music. So, abangan po nila yan. Natapos na rin namin yung music video, ipapalabas na rin siya siguro soon. Abangan din ninyo,” Jennylyn Mercado shared.
She also teased fans about her return to television before the year ends, hinting at another upcoming soap project.
“Bago matapos ang taon, mag makikita ulit nila kami sa sa inyong mga TV. Magso-soap ulit ako this year. So yun lang po.”
Despite her busy schedule and upcoming projects, Mercado said that she now appreciates having more time to dedicate to her loved ones, especially her daughter.
“Pero syempre ngayon mas may oras ako para rin mag-focus sa family ko, kay Dilan”, she added
