Movie review: ‘All About Her’ – Kelley Day proves her acting talent in Joel Lamangan’s new film

All About Her is a mystery film about a police investigation that stalls after a newly crowned beauty queen is suddenly found dead. As the case continues, different witnesses give conflicting stories, making it difficult to uncover the truth.

The story is told in a clear way from start to finish. The movie takes its time in revealing important details instead of rushing straight into the action, which allows the suspense to build naturally and keeps viewers curious about what will happen next. The twist is introduced at the right moment, making the reveal more satisfying and interesting to watch. However, there are times when some lines of dialogue do not sound very natural and could have been delivered in a more realistic way. There are also a few scenes that feel slightly unconvincing, but these do not completely take away from the overall impact of the film. Quinn Carrillo proves that she is not just an actress but also someone with real talent in writing for movies. Joel Lamangan’s direction is clear and easy to follow, and the story stays understandable even as the story gets more intriguing.

In terms of performances, Kelley Day shows strong potential as an actress. Watching her for the first time, it is clear that she can keep up with the level of acting required for the role. She delivers her lines with class and emotion, although she still needs more practice when delivering Tagalog dialogue. Yuki Sonoda is another visually striking presence in the film, but her performance could have shown more emotional depth to fully connect with the audience. Tony Labrusca also delivers a solid performance, and viewers may find themselves wishing that he had more screen time to further develop his character.

The supporting cast, including Itan Rosales, Marco Gomez, Angelica Cervantes, Jim Pebanco, and others, plays an important role in building the mystery and suspense of the story. Their performances add depth to the investigation and help keep the tension going throughout the film. Each character contributes to how the story unfolds. All of these make the mystery more interesting and engaging to watch.

Props to executive producer Len Carrillo of 3:16 Media Network for always pushing her boundaries and exploring endless possibilities in creating films like this one.
