‘A Mistress’ Guide to Moving On’, ‘Love Forbids’: Two must-watch microdramas on VMB

Viva Movie Box kicks off 2026 with two new Filipino microdramas, A Mistress’ Guide to Moving On and Love Forbids—binge-worthy, full of drama and suspense perfect for watching anytime, anywhere.

A MISTRESS’ GUIDE TO MOVING ON

Kick off 2026 with a binge-worthy dose of campy drama and women empowerment on Viva Movie Box, Viva’s newest vertical streaming platform, with the release of ‘A  Mistress’ Guide to Moving On.’ Starring Meg Imperial, Mayton Eugenio, Guji Lorenzana, Jean Kiley, and Zsara Laxamana, this new series from director Easy Ferrer is set to stir intrigue and redefine what it means to rise from heartbreak.

‘A Mistress’ Guide to Moving On’ tells the story of Pia (Imperial), who once became the talk of the internet as the “other woman” in a high-profile cheating controversy. Refusing to be defined by her past, she reinvents herself as a sought-after fashion and lifestyle mentor for women facing heartbreak—whether recovering from a breakup, divorce, or betrayal.

Pia’s carefully built world of confidence and empowerment faces an unexpected challenge when a soft-spoken new client enters her life: Anna (Eugenio), the wife of Pia’s former lover. What begins as a simple consultation quickly turns into a tense and intoxicating struggle, as the two women navigate rivalry and the complicated ties of love and betrayal.

With cunning strategies and unexpected twists, ‘A Mistress’ Guide to Moving On’ proves that healing the heart isn’t just about moving forward—it’s about doing it with courage, brilliance, and flair.

All 60 bite-sized episodes, ranging from 1 to 2 minutes each, are now available to stream on Viva Movie Box. Perfect for viewers looking to dive into drama anytime, anywhere, this series promises to make your new year unapologetically entertaining.

LOVE FORBIDS

When a love from the past resurfaces, sometimes it’s best to just keep them in the past, especially when the present circumstances are different. But, so many lonely souls just can’t fight the temptation.

“Love Forbids”, a 50-episode Viva Movie Box microdrama directed by Aya Topacio, will show Denise Esteban in this precarious situation as she plays Alyssa, a married woman who crosses paths with her ex-lover.

Emotionally worn down by repeated failures to conceive, Alyssa struggles to save her marriage. When her husband, Richard (Akihiro Blanco), introduces her to their new OB-Gyne, she is shocked to discover he is Neil (Alex Medina), the man she once ghosted.

Neil is now a family man, husband to Isabelle (Apple Dy) and father to six-year-old Lily (Zoe Viterbo). Yet, even after all these years, his love for Alyssa is still there. And seeing her now makes him want to be with her again.

Both consenting adults, Alyssa and Neil begin an affair that two people disapprove of: Katrina (Andrea Babierra), Alyssa’s best friend who knows Isabelle, and Vince (Pat Sugui), Neil’s best friend, who dislikes being used as an alibi.

With each episode running for a minute or two, “Love Forbids” is filled with secrets, lies, passion, and different kinds of love. Find out where all these things will lead to. And ultimately, from being someone who wants to build a family, will Alyssa really turn out to be a homewrecker?
