Jackstone 5 is a feel-good barkada comedy that will make you laugh with the cast’s natural humor and cry with its relatable moments about friendship and love.
It follows the story of five childhood friends who once called themselves the “Jackstone 5.” Decades after going their separate ways—working abroad, hiding secrets, and facing their own challenges—they reunite for a long-overdue gathering. Through laughter, tears, and tough conversations, they confront their past, rediscover their bond, and learn whether old wounds can truly heal.
Starring seasoned actors Arnel Ignacio, Eric Quizon, Gardo Versoza, Jim Pebanco, and Joel Lamangan—who also directs the film—the movie shines with their natural comedic timing. Their chemistry keeps the scenes lively, with punchlines delivered smoothly and right on cue. Some moments do run a little longer than necessary, but they still work within the film’s charm. It often feels as if the actors were simply enjoying themselves, and the director chose to keep those spontaneous, genuine interactions because they added to the movie’s overall appeal.
Aside from being funny and fitting their roles well, each actor stands out in their own way. Arnel Ignacio brings the most laughs and feels very natural on screen. Eric Quizon shows he can balance both comedy and serious emotional moments. Jim Pebanco and Gardo Versoza deliver strong, convincing performances. And as both actor and director, Joel Lamangan commands the screen with confidence, guiding the story while leaving his own mark as a performer.
While packed with humor, Jackstone 5 also delivers heartfelt lessons about family, friendship, and love. Its simple, honest messages are easy to relate to, making the film both entertaining and meaningful.

Also starring rising actors Abed Green and John Mark Marcia, and produced by Apex Creative Production Inc., Jackstone 5 will hit cinemas starting December 5. Abangan!
