IM Rentals backs 2026 Puregold CinePanalo with equipment support, student workshops

IM Rentals, one of the country’s premier providers of professional filmmaking equipment, has officially partnered with the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival to help nurture the next generation of Filipino storytellers. As part of its commitment, the company will sponsor filmmaking workshops and provide PHP100,000 worth of equipment rentals and studio space to the participating student filmmakers.

Sol Galang, President and CEO of IMx Innovations Inc. (IM Rentals/IM Creative Space), expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, “IM is gratified to partner with Puregold CinePanalo in celebrating creativity, empowering storytellers, and amplifying the diverse voices of Philippine cinema.”

Galang also emphasized that the collaboration goes beyond sponsorship, describing it as “a shared commitment to building a thriving creative community where every filmmaker has the chance to be heard and seen.”

This partnership arrives at a milestone moment for Puregold CinePanalo, which is gearing up for its biggest year yet in 2026. The festival will award its highest production grants to date—PHP200,000 each for student filmmakers to bring their dream short films to life. With IM Rentals’ support through equipment access and training opportunities, young directors will gain invaluable experience working with industry-grade tools, making the upcoming edition of Puregold CinePanalo an unmissable platform for emerging talents.

“As one of the country’s foremost providers of top-of-the-line filmmaking equipment, IM Rentals will be an invaluable resource to our student filmmakers,” said Ivy Hayagan-Pieded, Puregold senior marketing manager and festival chair. “This first-time partnership will immensely benefit our students who will have the finest equipment possible to bring their visions to life.”

The 20 student filmmakers selected for the film festival will each receive a cinematography workshop care of IM Rentals. In that time, they will also be shown the wide array of equipment available that they can lease using IM Rentals’ PHP100,000 sponsorship. Overall, IM Rentals will provide not only the tools to create high-quality cinema, but also the experience and knowledge to truly elevate the work of these young filmmakers.

The 20 student short films will be screened as part of the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival at Gateway Cineplex 18 and select Ayala Malls Cinemas in 2026. All films selected for the lineup will be eligible for recognition at the annual Puregold CinePanalo awards night, where IM Rentals will also present a special award to deserving filmmakers.

“At IM Rentals, we believe stories shape culture and deserve access to the tools that bring those stories to life, empowering creators from beginners to pros. Through this collaboration, we hope to spark new opportunities for Filipino filmmakers to grow, connect, and share their stories with the world,” said Galang.

Applications are still open for student filmmakers looking to join the Puregold CinePanalo. Interested participants must submit their applications to https://tinyurl.com/PCPFFShortsApp by 11:59 PM of November 25, 2025.
