For businesswomen Shina Sevilla-Aquino and Rona Tai, success is built on passion, patience, and faith.
When asked about her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, Shina Sevilla-Aquino, CEO of Amara Shia Jewelry, shared that the foundation of any successful venture begins with the heart.
“For me, you have to start with a passion. Kasi kung wala yung passion mo with what you are doing, talagang mapapagod ka and talagang susuko ka pa rin. And of course, you have to pray… Kasi kapag wala talaga ‘yon sa business, talagang it’s really not easy… And you have dapat the patience. Kapag meron ka niyan — the faith, the love and the passion, sobrang success ka talaga niyan.”
Echoing this perspective, Rona Tai, lifestyle influencer and entrepreneur, also emphasized the importance of patience and persistence in the face of challenges.
“…Sa business naman even men know that business… it thrives talaga. Hindi ‘yan magiging bongga kaagad on your first day or first month. It will get tough. Pero tulad nga ng sabi ni Shina, with prayer, with a great support system, and wag kang madi-discourage sa lahat ng hirap. It’s going to be a journey. You just have to enjoy the whole journey and learn from it. Don’t be discouraged. Just enjoy and embrace. And it’s worth it.”
These words of wisdom were shared during the contract signing on October 16 where Amara Shia Jewelry announced its historic acquisition of the Sephira brand, a first in the Philippine jewelry industry. The move marks a new era for both companies, bringing together two strong female leaders — Shina Sevilla-Aquino and Rona Tai — under one visionary partnership. The brand will now be known as “Sephira by Amara.”
The event was attended by Eric “Eruption” Tai, husband of Rona Tai, and Kristoffer Ian Aquino, Chief Operating Officer of Amara Shia Jewelry, highlighting the significance of the collaboration and the shared commitment behind the partnership.
Under Shina’s leadership, Amara Shia Jewelry continues to expand its reach in the jewelry industry. With Sephira by Amara, both leaders move forward with a shared vision founded on faith, passion, and perseverance.
