Actor Christian Bables opens up about his journey toward self-acceptance and confidence as he introduces WildSkyn, a brand that mirrors his personal experiences and advocacy for embracing one’s imperfections. Known for his emotional depth and authenticity as an actor, Christian now steps into a new role — one that’s deeply personal and empowering.
“I wanted to see confident people kasi alam kong hindi lang ako yung may pinagdaanan. Marami ang may pinagdaanan nong pinagdaanan ko. Ang hirap ng wala kang confidence na humarap ka sa mga tao. It feels like it’s eating you alive so I’m just so glad na matutulungan nito yung mga taong may pinagdaanan kagaya ko.”
Beyond business, WildSkyn represents a personal milestone for the actor. After years of struggling with self-image and the pressure to meet industry standards, Christian shares that this project is something he did for himself — a symbol of healing and self-love.
“This is actually a gift for myself. I’m in an industry where perfection is a must and sadly I’m not perfect. I’m far from being perfect. And it took me a very long time to finally accept that. So finally, nung na-accept ko na siya and ako mismo, naghanap ako ng solusyon do’n sa problems ko — WildSkyn.”
He also reflects on the harsh realities of show business — an environment where appearance often overshadows authenticity.
“You know how cruel our industry is, ‘di ba? Minsan makakarinig ka na ‘Ah…ang pangit niya,’ ‘Ah hindi siya perfect’, ganon. So for quite some time, it affected me a lot. But I came to a point tama na… it’s about time for me to embrace my skin.”
For Christian, WildSkyn is more than a skincare line — it’s a mission to empower others to rebuild their confidence and accept their natural selves. When asked about competition in the market, Christian offered a humble and inclusive perspective.
“Hindi naman siguro compete. Siguro, ako naniniwala ako may kanya-kanyang space ang bawat isa sa market. So, more than competing siguro ito yung dadagdagan ko lang yung opportunity na makukuha ng mga tao.”
On October 8, Christian Bables officially launched WildSkyn in Marikina City, marking his first foray into the world of beauty and entrepreneurship. The brand’s debut collection includes the Sun Siege Morning Glow Serum with SPF 50, Mad Mousse Glow-Whipping Cleanser, Midnight Clash Overnight Glow Serum, and the Radiance Beast Lathering Bar Soap.
Christian’s new venture carries a powerful message — that self-love, confidence, and authenticity are worth cultivating, no matter how imperfect the journey may be. With WildSkyn, he hopes to inspire others to see beauty not as flawlessness, but as the courage to embrace one’s true self.
