Young singer-actor now, pilot later: Dwayne Garcia releases new single ‘Para Na Muna’ under Star Music

Budding singer-actors may come and go, but when one combines strong passion with responsibility, the future shines even brighter. With his multi-talents in both singing and acting, Dwayne Garcia is showing early on that he is ready to make his mark.

For young actor and singer Dwayne Garcia, passion and responsibility go hand in hand. At his age, he is already navigating the challenges of pursuing a career in music and acting while making sure that education remains his top priority.

“Ang pagbalanse po ng pag-aaral and itong passion ko po which is acting and singing [ay] minsan po may problema,” he truthfully shared during a media conference for the launch of his single “Para Na Muna” on September 25 in Quezon City.

“Pero ngayon po it’s going smoothly po dahil sinusuportahan po ako ng mga magulang ko. And ‘yong pag-aaral po, iyon po talaga ang number 1 focus ko dahil siyempre po paglaki ko gusto ko maging piloto,” he added.

“Kailangan ko po mag-focus sa [pag-aaral]. Itong singing [and] acting kumbaga passion lang… Gusto ko po talaga siyang gawin dahil napakasarap sa feeling na mag-perform.“

While Dwayne Garcia dreams of becoming a pilot in the future, he continues to pursue his love for performing, whether on stage or on screen.

“To showcase art through acting. And sa mga movie po ang sarap po sa feeling pag, tulad po ng sa ‘Outside de Familia, noong nanood kami sa sinehan, yung mga audience members talaga parang nakaka-relate talaga… Napaka-grateful po ako na to be part of that and to showcase po. Nakikita ko po na nakikita po nila ang performance ko which is my passion and sobrang thankful po talaga ako dito,” he said.

Dwayne Garcia’s “Para Na Muna” is distributed by Star Music, headed by Jonathan Manalo, who was gracious in supporting him at the launch. This song follows his debut track “Taym Perst Muna,” released in 2024 under the same label.

Aside from music, his first film Outside de Familia allowed him to work alongside veteran stars Ruby Ruiz, Gelli de Belen, Shiela Francisco, Luis Alandy, and Matet de Leon.
