Pearl Gonzales continues to carve her name in the entertainment industry as TV5’s newly crowned “Bida-Kontrabida Queen.”
From beauty queen to actress, she has proven her versatility by taking on roles in thrillers, comedies, and romantic comedies. But when asked about her dream project, Pearl revealed she is aiming for something deeper.
During her intimate interview with select bloggers, TatakMNL asked about her dream projects.
She shared: “Dream project ko: heavy drama kasi parang nagawa ko na thriller, comedy, romcom may mga nagawa na ‘ko. Heavy drama, yun yong gusto kong ma-explore.”
As for her dream collaborations, Pearl was quick to name her idols in the industry. “Yung na-mention ko nga, sina Ms. Maricel Soriano, Judy Ann Santos, Dawn Zulueta, Jean Garcia, John Arcilla—o, my god, I’m such a fan!”
Pearl recently starred in the series Boys Love Triangle, directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr., and appeared in I See You alongside Dimples Romana, Joem Bascon, Cedrick Juan, and Zion Cruz. While her kontrabida roles have gained her recognition, she is determined to someday showcase her range in the kind of heavy drama she dreams of—ideally alongside the very actors she has long admired.
Backed by MQuest Ventures, TV5, and her talent managers Tyronne Escalante and Jeffrey Remigio, Pearl remains optimistic about her career path. She believes that with hard work, faith, and perseverance, she is on her way to achieving her biggest dream.
