P-pop soloist Zéla champions women empowerment in debut album ‘Lockhart’

P-pop soloist Zéla is channeling her personal journey into music with a mission to inspire others. On August 11, she officially launched her debut album ‘Lockhart‘ under AQ Prime Music, marking a major milestone in her career.

Her debut album Lockhart features 10 tracks: A.C.E (Activate Confidence to Empower), Arangkada, 01/01, Z.L (Zone Leader), G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time), Paraiso, Chaos (featuring Jo Sarmiento), Bababa, Hanap Ka Na Lang ng Iba, and Leave Me.

For Zela, the song A.C.E stands at the center of Lockhart because it reflects her core advocacy — empowering women to find their voice and confidence.

“It means Activate Confidence to Empower kaya A.C.E.. Because I want to empower other people through my songs. So, iyon po yung ginawa kong main track for my album,” she shared.

That message is deeply personal. Zela revealed that her drive to empower others comes from her own experiences growing up.

“I was bullied kasi when I was in school. So, parang I couldn’t stand up for myself. And now I have a platform, so gusto ko to empower women nga. Gusto kong maging voice para sa aming mga babae na hindi po kayang mag-voice out [para] sa sarili nila,” she said.

Alongside this advocacy, Zela also dreams of reaching global audiences with her music. She expressed gratitude to those who helped her bring this project to life.

“I really wanted to go global ever since I started in this industry. And now, it’s starting to happen — like everything. The album is one of my dreams lang din before. And it’s here na. So, I’m very very happy and grateful for everyone — kay RS Francisco, Atty. Honey Quiño, Atty. Aldwin Alegre. Very supportive po silang lahat sa amin,” she said.

With her passion, resilience, and vision, Zéla is ready to take her music further and inspire more listeners along the way. Fans can watch out for more of her performances, projects, and empowering songs in the months to come.
