Young actors shine bright in ‘Mga Munting Tala sa Sinagtala’

Mga Munting Tala sa Sinagtala shines through the heartfelt performances of its young cast. Hannah (Ryrie Sophia), Scarlet (Scarlet Alaba), Noah (Francis Saagundo), David (Drey Lampago), and Mary (Yassi Ibasco) are the “munting tala” — little stars whose honest and natural acting leaves a mark on everyone who watches them.

Joining them are rising young talents Potchi Angeles (Caleb), Franchesco Maafi (Aaron), Shira Tweg (Rose), and Kyle Almenanza (Isaac). Together, they bring warmth, sincerity, and a sense of real friendship to the screen.

At its core, the film tells the story of five children living in a small community. Each one carries heavy burdens — poverty, loneliness, and neglect — yet they refuse to be defined by hardship. Instead, they find strength in kindness, faith, and the bonds they share. From sharing a simple meal to offering a comforting word, their small acts of love become the light that guides them through dark times.

Behind this touching story is director Errol Ropero, who brings a gentle but powerful vision to the screen. With the support of producer Edward “Mamu” Lagan of Mamu’s Talent House Agency, Ropero has created a film that feels real, intimate, and full of heart.

Soon to embark on school tours and mall screenings, Mga Munting Tala sa Sinagtala is more than a movie — it’s an invitation for audiences, especially the youth, to see that even in life’s hardest moments, kindness and friendship can make the world brighter.
