The Viva Hot Babes, the iconic pop girl group behind early 2000s hits like “Bulaklak” and “Basketball”, recently sparked excitement with a feisty reunion—leaving fans to wonder: could a comeback be in the works?
Present at the gathering were Maui Taylor, Katya Santos, Andrea del Rosario, Sheree Bautista, Jaycee Parker, Zara Lopez, and Ella V. When asked if fans might ever see them perform together again, the ladies burst into laughter and playfully addressed Viva founder Vic del Rosario Jr.
“Boss, this is your sign,” Sheree said with a grin, prompting cheers and more teasing from the group.
But this wasn’t a showbiz comeback—it was a celebration of a personal milestone. The reunion happened during the grand launch of Ella Villanueva-Manalang’s first business venture, The Aura Wellness & Spa, located at The Pinnacle Plaza on Marikina-Infanta Highway in Brgy. San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal, just a few meters from Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall.
Ella V shared how meaningful the moment was for her, both personally and professionally.
“‘Eto yung one of the biggest project with my sister kaya suporta kami ng sister ko sa isa’t isa and at the same time yung mga friends ko nakita niyo naman sila. Para ngang gusto ko umiyak kanina kasi it is so surreal na parang panaginip ba ito, and I am so happy.”
She also expressed how touched she was to be surrounded by her Viva Hot Babes family, especially given how hard it was to gather everyone.
“Hindi talaga ako makapagsalita kasi parang totoo ba ito? Lalo na sila Maui na ang hirap nila hagilapin, sila Andrea and sila Katya lalo. Si Katya and Jaycee we are close, nag-uusap kami palagi because Jaycee has Rejuva. Siya yung pinakaunang tao na nilapitan ko para mag-demo ng Esthemax and siya rin yung unang business na naglabas ng product.”
Aura Wellness & Spa is Ella’s first venture into the beauty and wellness industry, and she holds the position of Executive Vice-President. Her sister Paula Villanueva leads the company as President and CEO. Together, they aim to offer a personalized beauty and wellness experience that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
The spa’s services include massages, facial treatments, nail care, eyelash extensions, and eyebrow shaping and tinting. It prides itself on cozy interiors, relaxing treatment rooms, and exceptional customer service. Aura is also the exclusive distributor of Esthemax Professional—a global skincare brand known for its professional-grade cosmetics formulated with natural ingredients. Their flagship product, Hydrojelly, is designed to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin with refined algae, electrolytes, and organic actives.
In a separate interview, Ella emphasized that she’s also focused on growing the business long-term. “My sister is the CEO and I am helping more with the marketing, promoting, and researching of what more other ways we can create kasi we wanted in the long run to be a franchise. At the same time, we are aiming for an academy because we do workshops. As a licensed esthetician, I want to help the estheticians here on how they can improve more of their facial techniques—hindi lang basta nage-extract, gusto mo rin ng ultimate unique relaxation.”
