What once seemed like a far-fetched wish among PPop enthusiasts became a reality on July 5, as BINI, KAIA, and G22 shared the stage at the massive Philippine Arena during Puregold’s OPM Con 2025. It was a spectacle no fan expected but all were thrilled to witness—three powerhouse girl groups uniting in a moment that redefined the possibilities for the local pop scene.
Fans of each group—BLOOMs for BINI, ZAIA for KAIA, and BULLETs for G22—initially came for their respective idols’ solo performances. But as the night progressed, it became clear that something bigger was about to unfold. Three standout moments took the event to another level, bringing together artists who, until that night, had never performed on the same stage.
One of the most talked-about scenes happened during BINI’s high-energy number of “Shagidi.” In a surprise appearance, KAIA’s Charlotte and G22’s Alfea emerged on stage and performed the choreography in sync with SB19’s Stell. The sight of talents from three different girl groups moving in perfect harmony ignited deafening cheers from the crowd, marking a first-of-its-kind moment in PPop history.
Concert viewers were further stunned when Pinoy rock legend Rico Blanco joined boy group SB19 in performing the latter’s hit single “Dungka.” During the number, KAIA, G22, and Sheena of BINI swooped onstage to link up with Blanco and SB19. Just imagine five Pinoy powerhouses joining forces to celebrate Pinoy music!
Finally, in sync with the event’s headliners, all three girl groups united once more for a dazzling performance of Puregold’s anthem “Nasa Atin ang Panalo,” a song that perfectly reflects the joy and triumph of seeing BINI, KAIA, and G22 collectively uplifting Pinoy music.
Social media’s positive response to this grand finale validated Puregold OPM Con 2025’s theme of togetherness. For one night, BINI, KAIA, and G22’s fandoms momentarily set aside exclusivity and chose, instead, to uplift one another and celebrate the power of Pinoy music as a whole.
Perhaps it was the shared experience of concert goers securing their tickets through grocery shopping—or the matchless production value of the event, with each act getting a chance to shine through their individual stages.
Maybe it was the sheer size of the crowd—30,000 ardent OPM fans screaming at the top of their lungs. Or maybe it was just ‘lightning in a bottle’, with the perfect storm of artists and ambiance. Whatever the reason, every PPop stan at Puregold OPM Con 2025 showed up and stayed for the biggest Pinoy music event of the year.
In the end, Puregold OPM Con 2025 proved that magic needs neither sleight-of-hand tricks nor a complex formula. Sometimes all it takes is three incredible girl groups, one legendary stage, and 30,000 people who believe in the shared power of true Filipino music.
