Terrence Romeo has always been known for his confident and fearless play on the basketball court. But in a rare candid moment during a recent press conference for his newest endorsement, the PBA star revealed the challenges he has faced off the court — especially when it comes to public bashing.

Pero wala naman sila do’n and at the end of the day pag nalaman nila na ‘Oh hindi pala siya gano’n’, yun yung pinakabalik sa kanila,” he shared.
Despite the hurtful assumptions made about him, Romeo emphasized the importance of staying grounded and true to himself. “Ako lagi lang akong quiet as long as alam ko sa sarili ko kung ano yung personality ko, ano yung pagkatao ko, wala ako tinatapakan na tao, wala ako niloloko na tao, okay ako,” he added.
When asked to recall a specific experience of bashing that deeply affected him, Romeo pointed to a past relationship that played out under the public eye.
In fact, ako pa yung naloko. Ako pa yung nawalan ng pera. Ako pa yung pina-invest,” he revealed.
Kahit alam mo naman na wala kang participation do’n,” he continued.

Terrence shared that he’s doing well and is currently focused on himself, his family, and his basketball career. With his contract set to expire this August, he acknowledged that he now has the opportunity to explore different options regarding where he might play next or what direction his career could take.
So, do’n ako nagfo-focus ngayon,” he said.
Romeo recently signed a contract on June 2 and was officially named the Philippine Brand Ambassador of ABCVIP: Heart of the Game. As part of his new role, he shared some advice on discipline, especially for online gaming enthusiasts.
“For me, siguro kailangan unang-una meron tayong discipline. Wag sobra, so, pag nag-o-online games sila, make sure na nando’n yung disiplina habang ginagawa nila ‘yon. And hindi naaapektuhan yung buong livelihood nila or kung ano man. “
Through all the ups and downs, Terrence Romeo remains a strong figure—on and off the court—committed to growth and staying true to himself amidst the noise.
