In celebration of the life and legacy of the late National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Nora Aunor, Kamuning Bakery Cafe in Quezon City has introduced a unique offering that has quickly captured the hearts of many: Pan De Nora—a tribute bread inspired by the beloved Superstar.
Recently featured on GMA’s Unang Hirit, Pan De Nora has become the talk of the town. More than just a clever creation, this special bread carries with it a story of admiration, heritage, and national pride.
Soft and golden brown with a mildly sweet flavor, Pan De Nora is perfect for breakfast or merienda. Each roll is filled with a smooth, creamy center that adds richness to every bite. What makes it truly special is the single raisin placed on top—a charming and symbolic nod to Nora Aunor’s iconic mole, one of her most recognizable features.
During an interview with hosts Suzi Entrata-Abrera and Boobay, Wilson Lee Flores, owner of the 86-year-old Kamuning Bakery Café, shared the lighthearted yet meaningful inspiration behind the bread.
“Tinanong nila, ‘Ano ba yung Pan De Nora?’ Sabi ko… pinakaimportante, may nunal!” said Wilson. “Sobra akong hanga sa kanya… Ang dami kong narinig na kwento na napakabuting tao daw [ni Nora Aunor],” he continued.

As one of the country’s oldest bakeries, Kamuning Bakery Café—established in 1939—has long celebrated history and heritage through its offerings. With Pan De Nora, it adds cultural memory to its menu, offering a slice of nostalgia with every bite.
More and more customers, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), have been reaching out to find out how to order Pan De Nora, as demand for this special bread continues to grow.
Available daily at Kamuning Bakery Café located at 43 Judge Jimenez Street corner K-1st Street, Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City, Pan De Nora is more than a baked good—it’s a tribute wrapped in love and admiration. The café is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., welcoming Noranians and visitors to taste a piece of legacy.
