Adding to the excitement, TV5 is also launching Primetime Primera, a refreshed early evening primetime block starting May 19. This new lineup highlights the network’s renewed commitment to delivering primera klaseng content—top-notch news and compelling stories that truly resonate with Filipinos.
Kicking off TV5’s early primetime at 5:30 PM is Una sa Lahat, a news program anchored by seasoned and award-winning journalist Jiggy Manicad. The new show aims to deliver the day’s biggest headlines to viewers, with live real-time updates from where the story is happening.
Following at 6:00 PM is the primetime newscast Frontline Pilipinas, which continues to deliver trusted, relevant, and timely news coverage that empowers and informs.
Meanwhile, the trending digital youth series that’s been making waves online—Ang Mutya ng Section E—finally makes its highly anticipated television debut. Starring breakout stars Ashtine Olviga, Andres Muhlach, and Rabin Angeles, this coming-of-age hit series marks its TV premiere on May 19 at 6:45 PM.
Meanwhile at 7:15 PM, the gripping story of Totoy Bato grows even more intense as Kiko Estrada’s titular character journeys into a fight for justice.
Both Ang Mutya ng Section E and Totoy Bato are proud offerings from MavenPro, a joint venture between Viva Entertainment and the MediaQuest group. This marks another step in TV5’s mission to elevate Filipino storytelling with bold, high-quality content.
With this dynamic mix of reality, news, and drama, TV5 not only strengthens its weekend offerings but also ushers in a new chapter in early primetime programming. Through Primetime Primera, the Kapatid network showcases its commitment to primera klaseng pagbabalita at obra, delivering original, relevant, and relatable content that resonates with audiences across the world.
