In an interview on April 10 in Taguig City, founder Donna Gatus Mangulabnan shared her vision for the company, shaped by her experience working abroad.
“My mission would be… magbigay ng quality healthcare sa Pilipino. Noong nagtrabaho ako sa abroad, ang ganda sa America kasi e… they are provided by everything. It’s been my dream, pagdating sa Pilipinas, yung kayang ibagay ng malalaking hospital, like sa Makati… can also be accessible to very Filipinos,” she said.
Mangulabnan emphasized that Nephro Plus centers are designed to offer the same level of care typically found in high-end private hospitals, even for those who cannot afford premium services.
“Pag pumasok kayo sa centers namin parang talagang parang highly privatized din. Talagang inaalagaan yung mga pasyente natin. Kasi dream ko yung kahit hindi nila kayang magbayad ng sobrang mahal, feeling nila mamahalin yung mga dialysis center natin. That’s where I am rooted at. Kaya everyday, in my journey, lagi kong sinasabi sa mga nurses ko na ‘Wag kayo basta magpapa-dialysis lang. Wag kayo nagti-treatment lang. You put your heart on it.’ …So yun yung kultura na na-build ko sa lahat ng dialysis center natin. Kumbaga, maganda yung center, well-provided internationally services, and of course, is being done by heart.”
