A film by screenwriter turned director Seo You-min, SECRET: UNTOLD MELODY is a romantic, fantasy-drama film and a remake of the 2007 Taiwanese movie “Secret.” It stars one of Korea’s prominent actresses, Won Jin-A, and EXO boy band member and Korean heartthrob, Doh Kyung-soo.
It tells the story of Yu-jun (Doh Kyung-soo), a pianist studying abroad, who, due to an injury, has to take a break from playing the piano and return to Korea to recover. He then becomes an exchange student at a college where his father works.
One day, as he goes around the campus, Yu-jun hears a mysterious piece of music being played in the old practice room, as he enters, he sees Jung-a (Won Jin-a) playing the piano gracefully, a fellow student and also an aspiring pianist.
As they share the same love for music and piano, Yu-jun and Jung-a get to know each other and get closer, and as they spend more time together, they begin to develop feelings for each other.
But despite their true and honest feelings, Jung-a holds herself back and rejects Yu-jun, saying that there’s a secret about her identity that Yu-jun can never know, and also the reason why they can never be together. What is the secret of Jung-a? And how long will this secret keep breaking their hearts?
