Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid on their ‘Green Bones’ experience

Two of the most sought-after Kapuso leading men, Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, star in the upcoming drama movie Green Bones, an official entry to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival.

During the film’s press conference on December 5 at Seda, Vertis North, lead stars Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid shared their thoughts and experiences on the project.

Ruru Madrid expressed admiration for his co-star, Dennis Trillo, praising his dedication and how much he had learned from his approach to acting. He also highlighted his respect for Dennis’ professionalism and the opportunity to work with him.

“I’m sure si Kuya Dennis [Dennis Trillo]. But I guess in this project, makikita niyo yung puso.

On the other hand, Dennis Trillo expressed his gratitude for being part of the project, emphasizing how honored he felt to work with an award-winning team, including the talented director Zig Dulay and National Artist Ricky Lee.

He shared that, for him, being part of the team was already a victory, with any potential awards seen as an added bonus.

And do’n pa lang talagang… walang talo talaga.

The film boasts a powerhouse cast, including Michael de Mesa, Ronnie Lazaro, Wendell Ramos, and Alessandra de Rossi, with special participation from Iza Calzado and Nonie Buencamino. Supporting roles will be portrayed by Mikoy Morales, Royce Cabrera, Sofia Pablo, Sienna Stevens, Kylie Padilla, Pauline Mendoza, Gerhard Acao, Raul Morit, Victor Neri, Ruby Ruiz, and Enzo Osorio.

Green Bones is directed by Zig Dulay, the award-winning filmmaker behind Firefly. The screenplay is written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner, Anj Atienza.

Produced by GMA Public Affairs, GMA Pictures, and co-produced with Brightburn Entertainment, Green Bones is distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film is set to hit cinemas nationwide starting December 25, 2024, as part of the highly anticipated Metro Manila Film Festival lineup.
