Bela Padilla has made a significant mark not only as an actress and host but also as an entrepreneur with the continued expansion of her brand, bela.bybela.
She recently expanded her lifestyle brand with two exciting product lines launched on October 12 at Il Terrazo in Quezon City: the Dani by Bela perfume collection and the ‘Bela by bela’ Bloom soap.

The Dani by Bela perfume collection is a special collaboration with one of Bela’s best friends, Dani Barretto. Featuring five distinct scents—Nostalgia, Coolector, Campfire, Spring’s Touch, and Summer’s Kiss—the collection captures a variety of moods and memories.
During the press conference, Bela shared how the project came together quickly. She explained that as soon as she called Dani to propose the idea of launching products, Dani immediately agreed.
She recalled, “Itong kay Dani sobrang bilis kasi pagkatawag ko pa lang sa kanya, ‘Dani, gusto mo maglabas tayo ng products?’ Sabi niya, ‘Yes’, immediately. And I said, ‘Okay. Are you willing to meet us next week?’ So Ate Lan, Kuya Dennis, and I met up with Dani. We spend like 2-6 hours together. Nag-amoy kami ng iba’t ibang scent, nag-test kami sa skin namin.”
The Lan and Dennis she was referring to are Lan Ros Tañedo (Owner and Operations Manager) and Dennis Valbuena (President / CEO) of DL WEaR PRIVATE CO.
Bela and Dani both brought their favorite perfumes to the table, making the collection a personal reflection of their tastes.
“We also shared our personal perfume with each other. Like Dani brought out her favorite perfume. I brought out my favorite perfume. And we said, if there’s something we can do sana na more personal to us, we would love that. In total, the whole process was very fast,” she continued.

In addition to the perfume collection, Bela introduced a new soap line that caters to various skincare needs. Each box contains three types of soap—pinya (pineapple), papaya, and kape (coffee)—each carefully formulated with natural Filipino ingredients.
“Yung soap, ang dami kasi niyang iba-ibang klase. Ang dami nating kailangan lalo na sa kababaihan. We tried to address the three main needs of our audience. What I love about what we are releasing is: in one box, you get three kinds of soap. We have the pinya, the papaya, and the kape.”
Each soap offers distinct benefits:
- Papaya Soap: A brightening favorite among Filipinos.
- Pinya (Pineapple) Soap: Known for its vitamin C content, giving skin a healthy glow while also being antibacterial.
- Kape (Coffee) Soap: An exfoliating scrub that helps smoothen the skin.
Bela emphasized her pride in using local ingredients, underscoring the potential for these Filipino-made products to reach global markets.
She shared, “We created it this way because I’m very proud of our own Filipino products. And alam naman natin, lahat ng Pilipino mahilig sa papaya soap…
“We also have pinya which is very good for your skin. It’s full of vitamin C. It makes you glow. It’s also antibacterial.
“We have kape which is our scrub soap. It’s exfoliating.”
Her desire to champion Filipino ingredients and bring these products to international markets remains a core focus.
“We wanted to go back to our roots. We wanted to go back to our core. And for me, the natural ingredient of the Philippines is something we should champion. Not just here, but all over the world. Ang dream talaga is makarating yung Bela by bela soap sa ibang bansa kasi magugustuhan nila ‘to.”
In addition to her business ventures, Bela is also gearing up to return to the big screen for the much-anticipated sequel to her blockbuster hit ‘100 Tula Para Kay Stella,’ from filmmkaer Jason Paul Laxamana. In ‘100 Awit Para Kay Stella,’ Bela will reunite with co-star JC Santos.
Though details are still under wraps, Bela shared her excitement for the project with a hopeful message for her characters.
“‘Sana magkatuluyan na kayo this time.’ Hindi ko pa alam e. Wala pa akong nababasang script.”
She also expressed her affection for the characters Fidel and Stella:
“Fidel, kumusta ka na? Stella, sana okay ka. Kasi the movie ended hindi okay si Stella e.”
Fans of the original film will be eager to see what happens next in this ‘mapanakit’ story.
As Bela balances her acting career and her growing business, it’s clear she’s bringing her passion and creativity to every project she touches. Here’s to more luck and success for bela.bybela.
