Jillian Ward bids goodbye to Dra. Analyn Santos in ‘Abot-Kamay na Pangarap’

As GMA Network’s long-running afternoon medical drama series ‘Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap’ approaches its highly anticipated finale on October 19, Jillian Ward, who stars as Doc Analyn, reflects on the emotional and personal significance of her role.

At a press conference held on October 2 in GMA Network’s Studio 7, Jillian tearfully dedicated her performance to her late grandmother and shared the challenges she faced throughout the show’s record-breaking run (with a total of 659 episodes up to its end).

She also recounted the moment she was offered the role.

Jillian expressed the pressures she felt on set. In fact, there were times she doubted whether she was deserving of such an important role.

Throughout the show’s run, Jillian’s character, Analyn, faced various challenges—both in her medical career and in her personal life. From helping her mother, Lyneth, graduate from college to discovering her biological father, Doc RJ, Analyn’s journey has been filled with emotional highs and lows. Despite the obstacles, she never gave up on her dreams, especially her long-awaited wish for a complete family.

As the show nears its end, viewers are left wondering what will happen between Analyn and her step-sister Zoey, and whether Analyn will finally achieve her dream of family unity.

Produced by the GMA Entertainment Group, Abot Kamay Na Pangarap has become one of the longest-running and most beloved shows in GMA’s afternoon lineup. Don’t miss the last two weeks, airing Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
