More and more curious titles are entering the wide roster of Vivamax on the streaming platform. Get ready to be enticed with ‘Tahong’, starring Candy Veloso, Salome Salvi, John Mark Marcia, Emil Sandoval, and directed by Christopher Novabos — streaming October 4; and ‘Tatsulok’, starring Mariane Saint, Skye Gonzaga, John Mark Marcia, and directed by Johnny Nadela — streaming October 11.
During the press conference on September 26 at the Viva headquaters, Pinoy adult content creator and ‘Tahong‘ cast member Salome Salvi reflected on the differences between her work in pornography and her acting experience in her mainstream projects. She is recently among the Vivamax artists who have penetrated (pun intended) the TV industry with her latest stint in the Kapuso primetime hit action-drama series, ‘Black Rider’, where fellow sexy actress Angeli Khang also became a mainstay.
She said, “…Yung acting sa akin, in general, it is very new to me. Kasi when I make my porn, hindi ako umaarte e! All of those reactions are genuine. It’s very easy for me to be myself when I do porn.”
Salome discussed the contrast between her experiences in adult content creation, where she feels natural and unfiltered.
“Pero dito sa Vivamax, pati na rin sa Black Rider, and all of the projects that I did, I had to embody characters that was not me… And I have to memorize lines. I have to project, internalize, and all of these things. These are the skill that I didn’t get to learn in porn.
“Kasi I don’t act in my porn. So, I wouldn’t say… it’s easier for me dahil wala lang penetration na nagaganap sa Vivamax. It’s actually harder for me. Kasi, I have to act. This is the first time that I am working as an actress,” she continued.
In the sexy drama ‘Tahong‘, Mira (Candy Veloso), a woman whose quiet life is disrupted when her family’s mussel farm faces demolition. As her father suffers a stroke, Mira seeks help from a corrupt barangay captain (Emil Sandoval), leading to an exploitative affair that complicates her life and strains her relationship with her boyfriend (John Mark Marcia). Amidst the chaos, Mira finds support in a local kagawad, Talia (Salome Salvi), and together they make risky choices to save the farm and secure their future against greed and corruption.
Meanwhile, during the second part of the joint presscon, Tatsulok lead stars Mariane Saint and Skye Gonzaga discussed their experiences filming their love scenes on set for the movie, including how they made themselves comfortable and overcame any awkwardness, given that they are real-life friends.
Mariane Saint shared, “Hindi siya natanggal talaga [awkward moments]. Kasi nando’n pa din talaga. Madalas kami napapagalitan pag kaming dalawa yung may love scene, kasi nga bigla niya akong kinukurot. Sino ba [ang] hindi matatawa? Natatawa ako pag kinukurot niya ako bigla, tapos magagalit na si Direk kasi [magka-cut] na naman. Tawanan lang nang tawanan. Ini-encourage naman kami ng mga director na ‘focus, trabaho ito.'”
Skye Gonzaga also shared her experience, saying, “At first, nahirapan kaming dalawa… Day, iniisip mo, nagki-kiss tayo. BFF tayo,” she joked to Saint.
Mariane playfully commented on Skye’s dramatic reaction regarding their kissing scene, saying, “Tapos ang arte niya, sobra. Sabi sa akin, ‘Wag mo ako i-kiss ng totoo, day’.”
But Mariane added that the kiss was, in fact, real. “Totoo po yung kiss.”
Tatsulok follows the story of Iza (Skye Gonzaga) and Roland (John Mark Marcia), a happy young married couple seeking to start a family but struggling to conceive. Their lives take a turn when Iza’s childhood friend Raquel (Mariane Saint) arrives and asks to stay with them. Although they welcome her into their home, Raquel’s presence creates tension, leading to infidelity and dishonesty that threatens to unravel their seemingly perfect relationship.
