‘Queen of Tears’ OST artist 10CM to perform in Manila this August

South Korean indie pop project 10CM, led by singer Kwon Jung-yeol, who is one of the artists behind the original soundtrack (OST) of record-breaking series “Queen of Tears,” is bringing their 2024 Closer To You Asia tour to the Philippines.

Mark your calendars to meet 10CM on August 31, 2024, at a new venue:Newport Performing Arts Theater, Pasay City on August 31 (Saturday) at 8:00 PM. Ticket selling starts on May 30.

10CM is renowned for their chart-topping songs, including tracks featured on the soundtrack of “Queen of Tears,” the most popular K-drama and tvN’s highest-rated Korean drama. Other K-dramas that featured their songs are “Start Up,” “Crash Landing On You,” and “Hotel del Luna.”

Recently, Kwon Jung-yeol met with the members of the Philippine Entertainment Bloggers Association (PEBA) for a blog conference in cooperation with Cornerstone Entertainment.

He answered questions about 10CM as a pop icon, his experiences being the voice behind numerous K-Drama official soundtracks, particularly his favorite tracks from “Queen of Tears.”

He also shared the story behind his collaboration with TJ Monterde, discussed the possibility of future collaborations with Filipino artists, and provided insights into his daily life.

Jung-yeol talked about his inspirations for making music, what he loves about Filipino music and fans, and offered advice to aspiring singer-songwriters.

He concluded by sharing details about the upcoming Asian tour, especially the Manila leg, and expressed his gratitude and messages to his global and Filipino fans.

Fans in Manila can look forward to an unforgettable performance by 10CM, showcasing the talent that has made them a beloved name in Korean indie music.

10CM debuted in 2010 as a duo with Yoon Cheol-Jong. Cheol-Jong left the duo in 2017, leaving Jung-yeol to continue the “10CM” name as a solo artist.

The group has received notable accolades, including the Best Collaboration Award at the Melon Music Awards in 2022 and the Best Folk & Blues Album award at the Melon Music Awards in 2016.

In addition to the Manila concert, 10CM will also perform in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan as part of the Asia tour.

The concert is being produced by Cornerstone Concerts (the concert division of Cornerstone Entertainment) and South Korea’s Magic Strawberry Sound.
