‘Night Swim’: Dive into terrifying depths in new supernatural horror film

Having received an exclusive invitation to a special preview of the new supernatural horror film, “Night Swim,” before its nationwide release in Philippine cinemas, we found ourselves immersed in a spine-chilling experience within the preview room of Warner Bros Pictures’ local office in Ortigas.

The screening of “Night Swim” allowed us a sneak peek into the thrilling world of Blumhouse’s latest horror flick, which offers a passably thrilling encounter, creating a sense of anticipation for the unsettling moments that unfold. Envision yourself caught in the chilling world of terror when all you sought was a tranquil swim.

Following the retired baseball player Ray Waller (Wyatt Russell) as he grapples with a mysterious force in his pool, the film delivers suspenseful jumps, especially when shared with friends on a big screen with quality sound. Striking a balance between mild frights and entertainment, it presents a unique twist on innocent pool memories, making it an ideal choice for a night out at the movies.

In “Night Swim,” based on McGuire’s acclaimed 2014 short film, Ray Waller is forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness, secretly yearning for a return to pro ball. Convincing his wife, Eve (Kerry Condon), that their new home’s shimmering backyard pool is for the kids’ fun and his physical therapy, they unknowingly unleash a malevolent force from the home’s dark past, dragging the family into inescapable terror.

Dare to take the plunge into “Night Swim,” distributed by Universal Pictures International, hitting cinemas on February 21.
