Coming this year is the much-anticipated sexy comedy film, “Malditas in Maldives,” starring Arci Muñoz, Kiray Celis, and Janelle Tee, from NDMStudios. Helmed by the award-winning director-writer-producer, Njel de Mesa, the official trailer was unveiled during an intimate press conference at Meuyag Restaurant in Timog, Quezon City, on February 4.
As expected, the laugh-out-loud trailer showcases the potential chemistry and acting prowess of the three leads: Arci, Kiray, and Janelle. Needless to say, the dynamic performances promise an abundance of laughs in this eagerly awaited comedy.
During the press conference, Kiray Celis enthusiastically expressed her pride in the film, stating, “Magugustuhan niyo talaga ‘to! Kasi, ni kami, paborito naming talaga ‘to. Walang acting na ‘Oh promote mo ‘tong pelikula n’yo, ha, nang maayos.’ Hindi gano’n.”
She added, “Hindi namin kailangan talaga mag-promote kasi talagang kami na nagsasabi, talagang pinagmamalaki namin ‘tong pelikulang na ‘to.”
Arci Muñoz also emphasized the enjoyable aspects of the production despite the challenges they faced.
She mentioned, “Kasi nag-enjoy rin tayo, aside from all the hardships na kailangan naming pagdaanan. Natapos namin in a week na nasa Maldives kami, kasi magagaling yung mga kasama ko.”
#MalditasInMaldives has been chosen as an official entry to the 2024 Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Nagoya, Japan.
Direk Njel revealed that the film will have international screenings and world premieres at various prestigious film festivals in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Canada.
