Here’s our impression after watching MY ZOMBABE on its premiere night:
Empoy Marquez and Kim Molina bring a delightful mix of laughter and romance in their first-ever collaboration, “My Zombabe,” directed by the incredibly multi-talented Bobby Bonifacio, Jr.
This dynamic duo effortlessly blends humor and romance, portraying a love-stricken guy and a lovable zombie-babe persona. Their sparkling chemistry keeps the audience laughing and feeling warm whenever they share banter on screen.

The supporting cast also merits acknowledgment: Yanyan De Jesus in a reliable role that has the audience rolling with laughter, Anjo Yllana portraying an almost-unrecognizable character, and blogger/talent manager Mark Ranel Grabador in her most significant and humorous role to date. Other characters consistently contribute to each scene, infusing delight and enhancing the movie’s overall appeal. Furthermore, the musical scoring, particularly the selection of songs like the popular hit “Marikit,” introduces a vibrant and enjoyable element to the film, making it even more captivating to watch.
If you’re in the mood for a feel-good film that strikes a perfect balance between funny moments and heartwarming scenes, “My Zombabe” is a must-watch. Catch it in cinemas nationwide from Viva Films starting January 10.
