Internationally acclaimed actress Dolly De Leon signed a talent management contract in the Philippines with Creazion Studios on November 21. She is also set to star in two big Hollywood projects, including a series with Nicole Kidman.
During an intimate launch, she shared how happy she is to be around people who really care about her talent and herself as an artist.
“Yung buong career ko as an actor, no one’s really managed me. I’ve been managing myself… no one really takes care of me. I think now is the time for me to have a group of people who have real love for Philippine cinema.”
She added, “I really feel that I’m in good hand with them. I’m so happy to finally have people who really truly care about me, not as a product but as a human being.”

Dolly De Leon is set to shine yet again on the international stage, taking on a vital role alongside Nicole Kidman in the second season of the series “9 Perfect Strangers,” produced by HULU and available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
“…Balita ko method actor daw siya,” she said referring to Nicole Kidman. “So hindi ko lang sure masyado kung makaka-bond kami. Kasi pag method actors, di ba, medyo in-character sila lagi. Pero I’m excited to meet her.”
She also mentioned working with ‘The White Lotus’ and ‘The Last of Us star Murray Bartlett.
“I’m also excited to work with Murray Bartlett, na sobrang napakahusay na actor… And marami kaming scenes together… dahil yung character niya at yung character ko, magiging close. So, excited na excited na kong makatrabaho siya.
“‘Tsaka, siyempre si Liv Ullman who is an Ingrid Bergman actress.”

Additionally, she’s making waves in the star-studded movie “Grand Theft Lotto,” sharing the screen with heavyweights like John Cena, Akwafina, Simu Liu, Sean William Scott, and Sam Asghari, who warmly welcomed Dolly into the fold.
“It’s going to be action-packed and funny…. Yeah, it’s an action-comedy film set in the future of Hollywood… It’s not futuristic but it’s in the very far future of Hollywood…
“[In] the story, there’s a lotto…people buy the lotto and if they win the ticket, whoever wins the ticket, anyone can kill that person and win the money… So I was very, very nervous. Kasi syempre parang first time ko magtrabaho doon, so talagang intimidated na ako. Pero ang bait-bait nila. They were also warm…”

The Hollywood actress also just finished two films that will be part of a very important film festival entitled “Between The Temples” and “GHOST LIGHT”.
“Between the Temples, I shot that in April in New York. Ang kasama ko doon ay si Jason Schwartzman, and then our director is Nathan Silver.
“And the other one, which I shot recently lang, mga three weeks ago… in Chicago naman. Yun yung Ghostlight. That was written by Kelly O’Sullivan and directed by her as well…
“So those are the two films that are coming out next year, early January, and there will be an announcement soon in December about which festival is going to come out then.”
Dolly also announced that she will be campaigning for the Philippine entry to the Oscars: the Cinemalaya winner “Iti Mapupukaw” (The Missing).
Aside from being in a possible Oscar-nominated film, she is also a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS), which is the selection committee of the Annual Oscars. This makes her the first Filipina actress to be invited to hold this position.
In the local scene, Dolly has made a few exciting strides. She was recently awarded the Tatler Award for Arts and Culture during the 2023 Tatler Ball.
With a new management team behind her and multiple projects ahead, Dolly is stepping into a new era that will truly elevate her career as a Global actress.
