Puregold has already received a notable number of entries as it eagerly anticipates more when the final date gets closer and closer.

The Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival is currently open for submissions from both student and campus filmmakers for short films, as well as amateur and professional filmmakers for full-length films. Selected individuals will receive financial grants to bring their creative visions to life. In the full-length category, five amateur or professional directors will be granted P2,500,000 each, while 25 campus-based directors in the short film category will receive a grant of P100,000 each. Additionally, selected full-length entries will benefit from complimentary color grading services provided by the festival’s official partner, Optima Digital.

As a steady stream of submissions pours in, Puregold eagerly anticipates identifying the cream of the crop among emerging Filipino filmmakers.

Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Senior Manager for Marketing at Puregold, expresses, “Puregold aims to ignite the creativity of Filipino youth. Witnessing these enthusiastic young filmmakers submit their entries and pursue their dreams is a story of triumph in itself. We are thrilled to review and deliberate upon all the submissions as we bring the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival to life.”

All interested filmmakers have until October 27th to submit their story concepts. Participants in both categories must submit a completed entry form, a synopsis under 300 words, a detailed sequence treatment, a director’s resume with links to sample works (if available), and a digital copy of the director’s profile photo. These documents should be emailed to thesecretariat@cinepanalo.com to obtain the necessary materials for grant application.

Ms. Ivy Piedad asserts that the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival underscores Puregold’s dedication to narrating the victorious tales of Filipinos.

Upon selection, participants in the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival must deliver their fully produced films by March 1, 2024. Short film submissions should run for a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes, while feature film entries should be at least 90 minutes long. Each submission will be screened during the festival, scheduled for March 8-10, 2024, at the Gateway Cinemas in Cubao, Quezon City.

Short film entries will also enjoy the privilege of reaching Puregold’s extensive social media audience, with each entry being featured on the Puregold Channel on YouTube. This channel hosts Puregold’s successful digital series, including “GV Boys,” “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask,” “52 Weeks,” and “Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile.”
