‘Wish Date: Memoir’ brings memorable mix of music, film, live song, acting performances

It’s so interesting to see the combination of film, live musical performances, narration and stage play rolled into one experience via Wish Date Memoir Concert held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Everything is made memorable by the reaction of the audiences in everything that is offered on both the screens and on stage.

The film has its neat moments with stars Alice Dixson and Louella de Cordova, together with Joshua Dionisio, Devon Seron, and Shaira Diaz playing along from a past timeline. The cheering of the crowd was almost deafening as they can apparently relate to the universality of love. Joshua and Shaira have an undeniable spark on screen. Alice, on another hand, never fails to glow with such goddess-like charm.

As the two adult characters appeared on the stage to break the format of narration-film-song, the audience had the wildest reaction in every painful “kurot” and “hugot” they witness.

The night was made even brighter with the numbers of singers and bands. Kyla, TJ Monterde, Moonstar88, Peniel, Hakki, and Wish Chorale had their respective spotlight in turning the coliseum into a giant karaoke session enjoyed by families, friends, and colleagues that joined the event.

Thank you, KDR Music House and Wish 107.5, for making #WishDateMemoir Concert possible and letting us dive into our very own memoirs that made us become better in real life — one memory after another.
