Phillipa Soo, Simu Liu, Luke Bracey in one love triangle in ‘One True Loves’

‘One True Loves’ is that kind of movie that lets you ponder on these questions. This new romantic drama features Phillipa Soo, Simu Liu, and Luke Bracey in a web of twists and turns as their characters experience two great loves at the same time.

From Viva International Pictures and MVP Entertainment, here comes ‘One True Loves’ based on the novel of the same name by The New York Times bestselling author Taylor Jenkins Reid. It opens in cinemas nationwide this Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

Emma (Philipa Soo) and Jesse (Luke Bracey) are a perfect couple who found each other at the perfect time. These soulmates decide to get married and start a new life together, so they leave their hometown in Massachusetts and move to the city.

As they live the life they’ve always wanted and spend their days together, they could not wish for anything more. But their fairytale-like love story is cut short when Jesse falls into a helicopter crash and gets lost in the Pacific Ocean. Devasted by what happened to her husband, Emma returns home to Massachusetts and tries to move on with her life.

As she tries to rebuild her life again, she gives love a second chance after she runs into her childhood best friend Sam (Simu Liu). They reconnect and fall for one another. Sam brought back the smile that Emma once lost. He then asks for her hand in marriage, which she gladly accepts.

But as if fate keeps playing with Emma’s feelings, her phone rings, and she answers to a familiar voice. It was Jesse, he is alive after all.

Now, Emma has to make a choice. Will she be with her husband? Or her fiance?

‘One True Loves’ is a film by Andy Fickman. It stars Grammy award-winning actress, best known for her role in the Broadway musical – Hamilton, Philipa Soo, also starring Simu Liu, known for his Marvel movie – Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Australian actor Luke Bracey, who was a part of critically acclaimed 2022 film, Elvis.
