Ryle Santiago is the newest addition to the rapidly-growing roster of talents under Viva Artists Agency. He signed a contract this March 31, and faced the media through a virtual conference where he answered questions about the newest milestone.
We’ve known Ryle Santiago as a member of the boy group #Hashtags from the noontime show It’s Showtime.
If not for showbiz, what would Ryle be doing?
During the mediacon, Tatak Pelikula asked Ryle what profession he would be in if he was not in the showbiz industry as an artist.
“Actually, honest answer, I never really thought about being anything else other than where I am,” he confessed.
“Kasi bata pa lang, hindi ko [na] pinag-iisipan. Yun nga yung worry ng parents ko when I was young, na I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do. Pero there were signs along the way na bata pa lang ako, sumasayaw na [ako]… Bata pa lang ako, I was exploring singing, exploring performing arts [already]. So, I guess, I kinda find myself in the right spot. And thank you to Viva for giving me a chance.”
“But siguro lately ko na lang naisip if I [were not] an artist [or] an actor, siguro [I would have been a] multiple-business owner,” he added.
On how Nikko, Wilbert, Vitto, and McCoy motivate him
Tatak Pelikula also asked him about his friends from #Hashtags. Since he is now among co-Hashtags members in the promising stable of Viva Artists Agency, what could be his takeaway from Nikko Natividad, Wilbert Ross, Vitto Marquez, and McCoy De Leon as far as their positive characteristics are concerned.
“Kay Nikko, what I’ve always loved about Nikko [ay] kahit ano [ang] pinagdadaanan niya sa buhay, lagi siyang nakangiti, lagi siyang jolly, lagi syang nagpapatawa.
“Si Wilbert naman, above everything is work ethic. [From] when he started kasi to now, ang laking difference. He knows [how] to do so much now. He’s very in love with his work, and that’s something I really, really admire about Wilbert. And alam nya yon.
“Kay Vitto naman, he was born with talent e… na effortless siya sumayaw, effortless siya magpatawa, at sana maging gano’n din ako.
“[Si] McCoy, siguro no matter how stressed he is… lagi pa rin siyang charming. Lagi pa rin siyang nakangiti and he has the charisma that everybody loves so much about him. And aaminin ko, wala ako no’n. So sana ma-rub-off sa akin yon ni McCoy.”
