‘On the Job 2: The Missing 8’ holds industry premiere night

ON THE JOB: MISSING 8 is finally hitting local theaters! See it on November 2-8 in select Ayala Malls Cinemas (see list below).

This crime thriller film is the Philippines’ official entry to the Oscars 2023 under the International Feature Film category.

‘#OnTheJob: The Missing 8’ takes pride in the historic win of John Arcilla, one of its lead stars, for winning the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the 78th Venice International Film Festival back in 2021.

An industry red carpet premiere was held this October 28 at Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, attended by some of its cast members including Dennis Trillo, Dante Rivero, Lotlot De Leon, Agot Isidro, Ina Feleo, and its director Erik Matti.

Synopsis:

Sisoy Salas, a corrupt reporter for a local newspaper, is forced to start an investigation following the disappearance of his colleagues and pits him against his personal interests. Meanwhile, Roman Rubio, an inmate who is routinely released from prison to carry out assassinations, is sentenced to life in prison for a crime he did not commit; not wanting to spend the rest of his life as a hitman, he begins to plan ways to regain his freedom by any means necessary.
